Guys, if you have IM, and you have this person [email protected] on your contact list, block him NOW!

He has a program called brute force, and is a hacker, and he was getting my e-mail password, i have reset my modem, so that has reset my IP.

So just be careful!!!!!
 
Well he was asking for me help, and i gave him none, it all started when he got hacked and he wanted to get that person back!
 
The program isn't called brute force, its a kind of attack. There are millions of screen names hackers use so it's not like blocking one will make a difference.

well, i reset my IP, and then blocked him, so that should at least stop him for a while getting, anywhere close to anything.
 
I doubt he got your IP from msn. It's hella hard to get because its not like your talking directly to the other person. Everything goes through a server first and then to the person you are sending it to. And how do you know he was using a brute force attack?
 
O my apologies. I barely dodged that bullet. My computer could have been a real goner if you didn't warn me. ROFL.
 
sounds like some kid playing with kiddie scripts. While I don't use any IM software really besides google chat, which is encrypted over HTTPS, I doubt they can 'hack' your password. Passwords are sent encrypted from your computer to the servers, there is no way they would do it in plain text.

So, he can capture an encrypted password and then try to brute force it with a dictionary attack. Which means if you use secure passwords it would take most likely decades to brute force an encrypted password, and it would take a super computer crunching it.

It's actually quite easy to do.

As to your attacker he sounds like a newfag, people who download bots, binders, crypters, trojans and the such are nothing to worry about, nearly all of the scripts posted on the net are detected, and you even have less to worry about if he's using a brute force attack.

Not sure if you said he had your IP address, but the only way I have heard to get another person's IP from IM is if your are transfering a file / photo and than while there is that active connection you can do a IPConfig, and there IP will show up.

Changing your IP won't stop him he is using his "AIM" with your email and trying random passes on it.
If he was a true hacker he would have just back doored you and taken full control of your PC while you never noticed.
Brute force is simply that its a program that tries random logins till it gets a accurate one. Idiots with passwords like "password" or "username" are the typical idiots who get their accounts stolen.

You would be AMAZED at how many morons use "password1-username1" etc
