my new custom maps server :)
many many hours went into getting this thing configured the way i wanted it, and i think it had paid off pretty well.

its currently running awe4 mod on a mix of custom maps and stock maps with custom gametypes (assassinate the VIP, capture the flag, etc)

come by and play sometime!
 
Found it with xfire but nobody was there:(

yeah getting a regular flow of traffic through a new server is not easy, give it some time :D

a bunch of us will be in there tonight around 8pm eastern, which is kind of late for you, but if you will still be up come by
 
**update on the server**

due to a well known issue with the coding in cod4, first time visitors to the server will be kicked with a server command overflow error message. reconnecting will fix the problem and it should never happen again. this problem is being fixed by the mod dev this week but until then typing /reconnect in your console should do the trick
 
Not seen you on here for a while, Good to see you're back!

What do you think of the AWE mod? Have you seen PAM4, it's pretty good. Good for competition gaming if you ever get into any of it. ;)

You should come play with the CF Clan sometime! :D
 
As the main admin on cfclan.co.uk i can tell you that running a mod gives the server the kiss of death, if you want people on the server try killhouse and shipment with a standard cfg

it definitely has been a lot more of a challenge than i originally expected. infinity ward and activision have zero regard for the modding community and at this point they are blatantly refusing to do anything about several well known issues in the coding of the game that make modding next to impossible. there ARE ways around it, but server admins have to break their backs to make a server halfway stable. the quickest way to make someone hate infinity ward is to develop a mod, map, custom server, skins etc for COD4.

but they did release an amazing game, so there are some shades of grey
