Is 450 watts enough?

Somebody looks like they're out to get me with my top selling PC :p Same case, same spec (almost) and nearly the same price. Amazing :P 450W I can confirm, will work on it, as my old models shipped with 450W Raidmax PSUs.

Can someone please provide the details of that PSU, because the only 450W psu from that manufacturer i can find any info on is this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152032

It is a POS, with only 21A on a single rail (28A are needed for a system with that GPU), and in fact I am assuming the one supplied is a different one, becuase the one above doesn't even have a PCIe connector.

Can someone supply the info for the PSU in the computer? I will show you guys how this PSU is underspeced.

That definitely is on the low side, but it would probably be okay... i read that 23A is what it needs when fully loaded.

Oregon, not sure why you felt the need to quote me on the above comment, anyway, can someone just provide the proper model number or specs for that psu please, rather than using probablý, maybe, or just plain guessing. It is either sufficient or not, and based on the raidmax psus i have seen thus far, not. The OP may wish to take the risk, but lets give him the facts. We can only do that when we look at the following:

12V rail amperage
PFC or not
Efficiency
MTB at 40oC not 25oC

then add 30% for correct derating and capacitor aging and you will (IMO) find that this PSU is a not to be recommended.

Lets just get the model number so we know what we are dealing with.

i have a 600watt power supply for mine. upgrading to the Q6600. i wouldn't suggest getting a crappy power supply. try for dual 12v at 22a or single 12v at 50a or higher. amperage = stability, and good clean energy.
