Xbox 360 DVD Drivd

Hello,

I have a problem with my xbox 360. I want to replace my dvd drive (i have lite on) with benq or any other, but im not sure if i can do this, not even how to do this. does anybody knows if its possible to replace one dvd drive with another?

It's possible yes, but it is also warranty voiding. eBay has a few floating around, so I would have a look there.

Yes, i saw something on eBay, but the main problem is that I don't know how to replace this....

well if u do it wrong then u brick ur drive and 360 making both paperweights, u need to obtain the drive key from the drive thats in it now go to 360mods.net they have a pretty good forum, and also offer services if u need it

Its pretty simple to replace the DVD Drive.

And if you open it up, you void your warranty, but that didn't stop me.

Stupid question..but why do people remove/want to remove there dvd drive?

Do you do it because your original one was crappin' out?

I have a 360 but we play GTA4 and Tiger Woods....thats it really.

mainly they switch them because the stock ones are loud, unreliable, and well really loud!

well its not really the loudness, alot of times its the laser has gone bad or other brands of the drives read games better, or if u tried to do the firmware flash and crapped it out then u would be swtichin
