Recommend me a good PHP/Javascript/Ajax, etc. [e-]book to learn how to put together a web site.

Also, recommend a good [freeware] SDK in order to test scripts of the above listed languages.

Many thanks!

Try www.totaltraining.com. They have video tutorials which are really interesting and useful. You can either try the online trainings or buy dvds. Personally, better would be online: cheaper. (here is a list with the prices for online: http://www.totaltraining.com/online/subscriptions.asp, here for all products: http://www.totaltraining.com/prod/ ; note: you will need to click on 'View Details' in the products list to see the prices)
In the online training you can view for free the first chapter of each training, to see what it is about. For that look for the Free Guest Pass when hovering over the 'Online Training'.
You will have to enter your First/Last name, an e-mail address and a phone number to be able to use the free guest pass.

The movies will playback in QuickTime, so make sure you have it installed + flash player. They are all in high definition.

Go to your book store pick up the Missing Manual series for CSS and Javascript. HTML will come over time, it's easy and once you start using CSS and Javascript, HTML just holds things together. Maybe after you build up in CSS and Javascript, go get Learning PHP5 by David Sklar...
