Windows vista

Well it looks like i can only get windows vista on the new laptop i'm buying..should i buy windows xp as well as i've heard vista is a terrible os?

he is correct, vista is a great operationg system, and no, even if you buy xp, there would be no drivers avalable for it. so you are stuck with vista in a good way

Vista is good, i have Service Pack 1 and if you have the correct settings, it's great and i love it.

Highly recommend it. But make sure it is Service Pack 1 !

Yea, Vista was a flop at the time of its release but most problems have already been fixed, it's now a LOT more pleasant to use (though I still ended up dumping it for Linux, but it was Home Basic so you can't really blame me )
