Best 8800GT to get?

I know you were kidding, don't worry. I went to Ontario for holiday this year, it was awesome. Went to Blue Mountain, which was so, so good!

ahh good ol' bluey...

I board here cause I live here now...but I'm from out west and nothing beats the rockies!!

Well yeah but it's kinda pointless to do 3-way SLI on 9800's. The third card would only increase performance by about 10%. Would be better to get 2 better cards for the same money. Okay, they're not exactly the same, but for the money you don't get a whole lot more. If you're deciding on 9800GT, it might be better to get something else.

Um... dude. Do you even know what Hybrid SLi is? It doesn't mean TRI-SLi.

I just got an 8800GT about 2 weeks ago and am very happy with it. Runs all of my games on max except for Crysis, but for the price I didn't expect it to. I can still play 1440x900, 2xAA, all medium and particles, textures and water effects on high and get ~45 fps.

Hmm. I think I will go with a 8800GT. But the only thing is I keep seeing 9800GT's about at around $150. Which is cheaper than a lot of 8800's (atleast in the UK)

Seeing as it's lower than most 8800's, shall I get it?

I have. Yeah the extra futureproof things that come with it, seems silly not to. plus it claims it's a silent card. :P Reviews don't say otherwise too

Now the question of Q6600/E8400 LOL.

If the 9800GT is cheaper over there then get it. The it's around $30 more over here and since only a couple mobos are Hybrid SLI compatible, you're basically paying $30 for improved GL support. For $30 more than that is a 4850 so that's why I wouldn't go with it. If it's cheaper get it for sure.

If you're really wanting to go into a Quad. You really should fetch some money and go for the 45nm Q9450.
