What monitor do you find adequate for your needs? assuming a size 22" -24" and less than $400 im looking at the LG W2252TQ-TF 22" 2ms.... any exp. with?

I use a variety of monitors depending on where I am..but//

I am very partial to Samsung monitors..

The T220 is a sweet screen..1680x1050, 2ms, 20,00:1 contrast...and its less than 300 bucks..

The Samsung 2253bw is also a fantastic 22" screen with 2ms, and 8000:1 contrast ..

Once you step into a 24" you can get hdmi input and 1920x1200 res..usually 5ms-2ms..

All are awesome for gaming, and everything else...

so 24" is were we start seeing the monitor equivilent to 1080p? or do we never get to that spot?

I'm definately not a monitor expert...but I've only seen 1900-1200 res on 24" plus panels...and at that res you see the hdmi port...often the panels will be 5ms...although there are monitors like hanns-g that have 2ms full hd panels

I think the Lenovo L220 is a 1900x1200 res 22" panel...can't find any others off hand.

Im the same... when it comes to monitors im compleatly lost. I don't even know what name brands are "name brand" save the obvious ones, LG, Sony, ect... but ... do all 24" come with HDMI or just some of them? assuming just some?

Not every 24" has HDMI. Anything with 1900x1200 res should have it though...or at the very least an adapter in the box...

I can certainly say...you will NOT go wrong choosing a Samsung monitor. Any one the ones I mentioned are amazing!

I saw this post from a guy once that said :

15-17" - 8ms or below
18-24" - 5ms or below
25"+ - 2ms

and he explained a load of stuff about how ghosting happens and blah blah and said 5ms won't show any ghosting on 24" native.
