Well both are very nice.

It depends if you want a slightly better processor on a smaller hard drive, or a bigger hard drive, slightly less on the processor.

Both are very good.
 
Do HP do any small laptops but still with very good performance as im assuming the dv5 and dv7 range are quite hefty and not ideal for having on your lap...or would i be wrong?

Also, why doesnt every model in the dv5 or dv7 range have bluetooth wireless capability, only the odd models do and not even the very expensive ones have it. What difference does it make if it has this?

HP makes plenty of smaller laptops. Take a look at the dv4 lineup. And as for the bluetooth, I'm not sure how HP operates in UK, but in the US you can add it to just about any of their laptops
