Hard drive problem?

Hey,

My computer suddenly froze with the following message:

If you click okay you are just left with a blank desktop and nothing works (Not even ctrl+alt+del). Each time I start up the computer it lasts for about 15 mins before showing the same error again.

Is something wrong with my hard drive? If so I have some data that's going to take longer than 15 mins to copy that I need off it...

Now getting two short bleeps on boot followed by the following message:

Reboot and Select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key
 
If its an AMI BIOS then 2 short beeps signify a memory problem. Remove your memory and reseat it, if still no good then if you have 2 sticks try removing one then swapping a stick.
