ANTEC 900 purchase

I have been looking at the Antec 900 case for a long time, seeing as it is a great choice for gaming builds (from what i have heard)... but what really has been making me mad is the price fluctuation on newegg. i have seen it as low as 90$ and i have seen it up to 130$, WHAT GIVES?!?!!?!! Just five minutes ago i purchased it for 104$ shipped. Do you think that was a good move? or would the price go lower?

any thoughts on the antec 900 will be appreciated also...
 
I just recently bought the antec 900... I must say its excellent for the price I paid(about what you paid).

I very happy with it!

The downside for some isd the sound of multiple fans, personally I dont care... Heh its just a reminder of glee lol. I actually added 2 more fans!

Just wear a headset then your set :)
 
I think I paid like $140, and I sent away for the rebate but not to my surprise I still haven't received it.
 
It's an alright case. Don't really care for all the screws or the noise, but it looks nice and cools well. The prices fluctuate due to demand, I'm guessing. Only Antec and newegg will know when the price will drop...
 
If the price drops soon after your purchase newegg will only charge the for sale price. Newegg is the shiznet like that.

So, you're saying that if they drop the price after he purchases the case at a higher price, he'll get reimbursed for the difference? I've heard of this, but it's not automatic. You have to call them, I've read that it's a big hassle, and it's not guaranteed.
 
There was a few days of Visiontek hd4870 was going for $270 and a free copy of GRID. I ordered it, but the time it was charged, the free game wasnt part of the deal anymore. It was when I checked out...

They didnt do anything about it, so I just downloaded a torrent.

Kinda wished I could of got the hardcopy of the game though... lol


Anyways, that price isnt bad. Electronics always have price changes. Like I said above, my 4870 was 4270. A week after it was almost $290. Now its $260. Im just glad I have it, otherwise I get in that tech loop of waiting for prices to come down, but never buying anything, and once I am ready to buy, something new is out, so I save up for that, then wait for it to drop a little, and that just leaves you stranded for a while until you buck up and click checkout.
 
thanks alot everyone, i feel pretty good about my purchase now... i can look at my empty case happily.... lol
