Direct 2 Drive

No fair, mep's name is bright blue :(

Whenever i get a game (usually by a dvd/cd) i always burn the image to the hdd and i keep the CD for archival purpose's.

Still downloading...about 20 minutes left. The MP package is even larger (over 7 gigs).

I've been downloading Warhead off and on for the past couple hours, looks really fun.

Also, I like downloading the game for pretty much the same reason I like the Apple TV, I can watch any movie, anytime, without going to the movie store. The renting price differs, an HD rental is like $4 or $5, while standard is like $3 or something.

I read most of the thread but didnt catch it if this has been saved.

If you get a game either from D2D or from Steam, can you burn it so you dont have to DL next time?

Ive never used D2D, do you need a launcher program or does it just install like any other game and doesnt require a cd.

With D2D, you download a ZIP file with all the files necessary for installation. Extract the files to another folder and run the setup file within the folder. You don't need a CD...
