RAID setup question

Once you make the RAID array you can partition the space however you want. If you are using 3x320GB drives you will have 640GB of space.

Thanks. I was told that this is true on a raid 1 or raid 0, but not on a raid 5. is that possible? and what do you recommend as far as a raid 5 or raid 1+0(on a four drive array).

I'd say a RAID5 is better than 1+0 or 0+1. I'm pretty sure you can just partition away once your array is made.
