I am currently use a sony laptop with windows xp and the other day it started to become super laggy, and it takes about 10 minutes for the welcome screen to come up. I have ran 3 virus scans, defrag the hard drive and ran ccleaner. I'm not quite sure what else to do but I am currently running it in safe mode, is there anything else I can try? sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I did the smart check and the short check and they both passed, I will do the long one tonight so it can run. What are the best ones to do? Thanks for the help btw
