How do I tweak my motherboard?

What your wanting to do is Overclock.

Being that you have an AMD you can not really overclock it, i have an AMD and i asked about it, and i was told i couldn't.

AMD cpu's do get hot easily. And they aren't the best overclockers for that reason, you just can't push it. I have a 6000+ x2, and it is perfect at stock speeds.

U can overclock it, just not as well as an intell cpu.

Ah hell, AMDs overclock just as well as a Intel, just not as far. The only difference you have is the Hypertransport to deal with but just bump it down and be done with it. As far as MrFobber he has a 3500, he should be able to bump his memory and HT back one at get atleast 200 or 300 MHZ with out even bumping up the voltage. He has got a Asus board with a nForce 4, they were not to bad.

Easiest/safest. Just set your HT to X4/800, if you have DDR 400 set it to 333, if you have 333 set it to 266 in other words set your memory back one speed. Then start raising your bus a few mhz. at a time till it gets unstable the back it off a few mhz. If you want to go higher your will have to start bumping up your CPU voltage. But if you start raising your voltage keep a eye on your CPU temp.

What is HT? x4/800?? how do I set all that? How do I bump my CPU voltage? and how do I raise my bus?? Are they all done in the bios? Sorry to ask for the details, but I'm a newb when it comes to this. Thanks!

Yes they are in the Bios. Sounds like you might need to do alittle more reading up on it before trying.
