Hi,

I have a question. What motherboards can support 2 quad-core Nehalems?

None.

Nehanalems use LGA1336 sockets, whereas cores and pentiums generally use LGA775 sockets.

There are no LGA1336 mobos out atm.

if you mean lga 771, then look into supermicro, tyan, asus workstation boards, intel, as far as i know like jd bennet said, there are none in existance, there are some single socket boards out there for nehalem, but none of those are for sale

you would need a server board and nehalem-based xeons to use them in a pair anyway, and you cant buy that retail very easialy, if at all

the intel X58 chipset will support nehalem, but it aint coming out for a year

yeah the chipset is, but it will take months for manufacturers to actually release boards that use it, and for them to become available

wait , i was wrong

Most desktop nehalems will be LGA1336

but some server ones will be LGA1567

check the wiki for the core i7s

The Asus P6T-Deluxe will be available beginning of November. It's an x58 chipset mobo with Socket LGA1366.

Still is only 1 cpu though.

The Westmere Extreme and performance chips will be out next year...late Q3 using same socket.
