Free Verizon DSL upgrade

Did anyone else get a card in the mail like I did saying that they were getting a free upgrade from 768kbps to 3.0Mbps for the remainder of their contract?

I had to read it over and over again like ten times to make sure I wasn't seeing things, yet it says right on it that there's no catch, and they'll be doing the upgrade some night within the next couple of weeks.
Right now I'm in Month #7 of a 24-month contract at $19.99 a month.

im not in the US but i bet they will up your monthly bill after your 24 month contract is up if you decide to renew.

Oh, I figured that they'll up the bill later on. But then again, I've been reading online that DSL is the new dialup, and with so many people going to FiOS and cable, DSL will become a loss leader and stay cheap. If that's the case, I'll be quite happy. Have to wait and see!

Dsl will be around for some time while many places still won't see FIOS for some time yet. That's the top actually. The so called upgrade to 3mbps hasn't actually made any difference here so far.
