Hello all,

My gf has a webcam and i recently had to reinstall windows for her and she doesn't have the disc with the drivers on it. It is windows vista and i have tried going through that and finding the driver.... but not luck, i went through device manager and it only comes up as Camera...

Is there a way i can get the model and brand of the camera....??

There is no labelling or anything on the camera or the leads......

Thanks,

Cohen

Does the device not work? If it appears in device manager as "Camera", I would think it'd be working properly. If the webcam didn't even come with a disc in the first place, the generic drivers should be good enough.

Also, is this an integrated webcam (is the computer a lappy?)?

If you really do need the drivers, I would give SIW (or System Information for Windows by Gabriel Topala, I know something w00t :P) a shot, it gave me model numbers/whatnot on heaps devices I had no drivers for.

Its a Desktop, the device does work, it did come with drivers, but she has lost the disc....... i'll get that program ago....

thanks
