NZXT Tempest. Deal or no deal?

The NZXT Tempest is my new obsession. It looks VERY nice, has plenty of fans, room, a ton of HDD slots and a bottom seated PSU slot. I am planning on buying a third 120MM fan with like a LED readout while it spins or something to give it some more kick when I rub it in my friends (PC nemesis' face). Would anyone NOT recommend this case? Are there any other cases that I have overlooked that are just as appealing as this one? It can be full tower, I really don't mind the size since this one is big anyways. What do you guys think?

NZXT makes some great cases with more options for a large gaming type case. You can have a better look at the Tempest here. http://www.xoxide.com/nzxt-tempest-gamingcase-black.html

A friend runs the Nemesis Elite model that sees the lcd display for temps and voltages. The Tempest sees an eSata port as well as pair of usb ports and audio jacks. It's not any lame case to start off with.

ThermalTake and Antec also see some rather interesting cases with one ThermalTake model looking almost identical to the Antec 900 used here. The drawback on the ThermalTake Armor series is simply being an aluminum not steel case as seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133154

The Antec 900 on the other hand is a black steel case seeing a lower price at this time. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021

I still like the Tempest the most. I think ima order it and not bother looking anymore. What I don't know cant hurt me :).

I had (have) a NZXT Apollo, they are quality cases for the price. As well as great customer service. Mine arrived with a scratched up window, i called them up and they shipped me a new panel with no questions asked ;)

There you go! The Tempest as I mentioned before does see an eSata port as well as a pair of extra usb and audio jacks if you decide to hook those up when putting everything in. If it wasn't for the front door I was considering the Guardian but went with the 900 at the time here.

900.... I sir, do not like you anymore.

Why? The 900 has worked out quite well here for seeing twin 120s in front and keeping the temps low. The extra fan helps when you have 3 or 4 hard drives as well as two optical drives installed.

Talk about bad cases I made the one time mistake of buying a case including a supply where the supply lasted all of two weeks! The case saw one rear and one top 80mm fans with the board temp higher then the cpu's! I'll take the better air flow thank you!

My friend bought a Case with included PSU, I told him not to but he did anyway. We'll see how things play out (He listened to his other friend over me:mad:, I pray every night that his PSU explodes taking his new comp with it /evilgrin.

Someone else lately was looking at a case for about $30 with supply and had to be warned that even the case was cheap. I could see a supply like that lasting about a day and going doa.

The one thing you learn fast when building your own cases is making sure you pick out a good supply that's adequate for the build you have in mind. You wouldn't want a cheapie going into the Tempest or any other quality case. In fact be sure to review the sticky on supplies. There are links for different catagories in the rules section. http://www.computerforum.com/computer-cases-power-supplies-cooling/announcements.html
