Well first of all I am new to the whole PC building thing, so I am a little nervous about picking out all the parts and stuff since Im afraid they wont work together for some reason... So yea I can use all of the help I can get. Thanks!!!!! (Not realy sure about getting a Quad or Dual and OCing the Dual... But Ive never realy OC'd anything before and im a bit afraid of trying)

So this is what Ive picked out so far (Oh and and I do alot of online gaming and am wanting to lean more towards the games that require a good PC):

CD/DVD Drive: ASUS Black SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model DVD-E818A3T

(Im Thinking about getting 2 orders of this to have a total of 4gbs)

Hmm, I'm in the same situation you are. Cept I called OCZ and asked them about the memory getting two orders so it equals 4 gig. They told me not to push the memory controller. It is recomended that you just get two four gig sticks. I'm going with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146785 To me that will be great. Mushkin I heard was a great brand for memory. Other than that. It's basiclly just like my build.

A few more suggestions. Get the GTX280. And second. Screw Vista Home Basic. That's a piece of crap. Go ULTIMATE! Go big or go home! That's my saying for this build. Other than the few suggestions I made and I'm sure others will do the same and correct me if I'm wrong people. But if you add my suggestions that thing would kick serious ass! And also copy me.....lol :D

Yea, screw home basic... Home Premium is the least you want to go with and probably is all you need. Ultimate's main selling point is the name... heck, I think Ultimate sounds better than "Home Premium".

One thing to keep in mind. If you want to run 2 graphics cards even down the road..this board is for crossfire so you may think on getting an ATI card.

If you don't plan on that, however, the 260 is a very nice choice, you just wont be able to SLI.

^ That's right... I would recommend you get a HD4870 instead, it performs on par with the 260 and costs about the same, maybe even less. You can then get another 4870 in crossfire if you want to upgrade.

Yes, and I can speak from experience--2 of the 4870's in crossfire on that rampage motherboard is awesome!
