Why do netbooks still use XP...

hes not talking about laptops hes talking about netbooks

first glance i saw notebooks.
anyhoo isn't netbook for minial use only ? i mean their usage ?
or maybe just something not compatible with vista.. drivers or something similar

netbooks are small, light, and cheap laptops that serve their main use in doing normal things (internet use, word processing, etc.)
An example would be the EEE PC.
XP is used because Vista is made to take advantage of the high performance of modern computers, netbooks are not really high-performance, they are made to do what they do and do it well so XP is a great OS to use, also some netbooks use Linux (EEE PC used Linux initially).
 
Haven't seen one with Vista installed from the factory? Why is that?
Vista needs a relatively powerful CPU to run, and those things eat electricity. You want something light-weight on a netbook, so that the battery will last longer... make sense?
