COD4 problems

I just installed Cod 4, but i did something weird because I had 2 installations going at the same time and one finished but when i went to go and play it nothing came up. So i tried uninstalling it but when it trys it says 1628: Failed to complete installation. So now im stuck in a pickle because it wont let me uninstall it but it wont let me install it? any help?

Delete the files in Program Files and re-install

it doesn't ever give me the option to install it, every time i put it into the cd drive it comes up with the options to play single or multi player or uninstall it. And when i hit uninstall it comes up with the 1628: Failed to complete installation

only problem is that there is no trace left on my computer that i have this game, but there must be cause it still wont let me install the game. This is really making me mad

sounds like something in the registry is corrupt

Use the junk files cleaner if you don't have to uninstall it.

I have tried everything, there is nothing anywhere on my computer. I have no idea how to fix this. If this was a registry problem how do i know and how can i fix it?
