I want to purchase a new video card for my comp. The specs are in my Sig.
I mostly play "WoW" but would like a vid card to also handle a game like "F.E.A.R." or COD4, What would be my best bet for a price range around $80-$100. Even Possible?

would it be ok to get a 2.0? or is better to just stick with an x16 being that is what i have.?

any info would be appreciated.
Thanks:D

Radeon 4670 - you can find them cheap, and they usually outperform the 9600GSO (comparable to 9600GT), though by an insignificant margin. However, they're low-power cards and will save on your electricity bills. 9600GT is a great performer for the price, though...

If you get lucky, you may find a 8800GT/HD3870 cheap enough for you. If you can, go for them - they will max out either of the games you specified.

Nothing really, if they have the extra bridge connector you can tri SLI and if its a newer model is has a die shrink to 55nm. from 65nm. The newer 55nm. die is a G92 280 B1, the 65nm. is a G92 270 A2

The Asus card you have listed will be very quiet-and should run very cool-I have the GSO version and it idles at 43 C after being on all day.

I just ordered myself a 9600GSO. I should get it Tuesday :D

I'll be sure to post how it is.

Went ahead and purchased and installed the XFX Geforce 8800 GT. This card is beautiful.
Run WoW on highest settings possible, plays it like its running tetris. so smooth. Thanks for the Suggestions. You guys this with my set-up i can play crysis on decent settings?

Yes. You can probably pretty much max out the game on XP (since you don't get DX10 and other resource-intensive eye candy on XP :P) - your rig will probably be fine with the highest settings XP allows you to go with.
