Help me achieve optimal cooling please :)

Hey everybody. My comp has been getting a little too hot for my taste lately and I think it's time that I did something about it. I am using the "COOLER MASTER Centurion" case:

My fans:

Side: 80MM (Located at about the middle of the case, vertically speaking)
Back: 120MM (Located at about the middle of the case, vertically speaking)
Front: 80MM (Located at the very bottom of the case, vertically speaking)

Note: There is a rectangular vent(As seen in the link)below the side fan, if that helps in deciding how to get optimal airflow.


Simply, my question is:

Which direction should each of these fans be blowing to achieve optimal cooling for my case?

Do you want the most airflow or do you want the smoothest airflow? Depending on other factors, smoothest might offer more cooling than simply shoving as much air into your case as possible. Smoothest almost *always* entails cool air coming in from the lower-front, and warm air exiting from the upper-rear. Anything else will typically disrupt the airflow inside the case, create a bit of turbulence, and possibly make a few 'dead-air' pockets.

You'd have to try a few different setups, and monitor your temps for a while afterwards to see what works best for you in your situation.

Front: This should suck in.
Back: This should blow out
Side: This varies try it with both and see witch one works better. It's even to be know that you can get better airflow without a side fan in some cases.
