After market cooler

do i really need an after market cooler with this processor?will the processor last longer if i get one?will it perform better?should i be asking so many questions?
 
I'd say so.
It'll run stock on stock, but it's known to run hot, AMD quad cores are notorious for heat, and it's 125w no matter what brand.
 
If you want to use that for a while and protect your investment, definitely get a cooler. Even a cheapo Arctic Cooler Pro 64 would be better than stock.

125W always creates heat, and heat tends to slow things down a bit.
