I am new to these forums, acutally this if my first post. so ill get straight to it.

i was wondering if this card would fit in my computer or not, i dont know much about computers and what can or cant work with eachother. this is what i have: MB: gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L, quad core q6600, 3 gigs of ram, only a 430 watt power supply (will get new one with new card) 580 gigs of hard drive annnd thats all i know.

thanks in advance

Sapphire has spiffier boxes, and provides a decal for the front of the case, Diamond has restrictive warranty practices, HIS includes a neat little screwdriver, no experience with Asus or Visiontek

A 4870 + a better PSU (At least 600W) would make your system able to stomp most games, ;)

ok awesome.

now what is a good make (if thats what its called) like asus vs saphire vs diamond, visiontek etc

they all the same. they all receive the same card from AMD/ATI.

The only difference would be clocks, whats included in the bundle and warranty

try get a card with a good warranty...

Not true. Not EVERY card is the same. Some manufactures use different coolers, different capacitors and other different components. I'd recommend HIS, every ATI card I've ever had has been HIS and no problems thus far. Any others like Sapphire, ASUS, Visiontek are all reputable brands I would trust.
