I noticed this paired up with a 4850 HIS card my buddy bought but what the hell does it actually do? No one seems to know lol.

It claims reduce GPU noise but that makes no sense to me what so ever....my GPU never makes noise the fan does

I agree I have never heard my GPU make any noise.

They are talking about visual noise that you see on the screen not the audible noise from the card itself, say you are getting some sort of distortion or interfeerence this is supposed to clear/clean it up! I havn't used this so dont know if it actually works maybe someone else can shed some light on that part since it does come packaged with some GPU's. http://www.hisdigital.com/html/product_ov.php?id=340&view=yes

To answer the original question, it's a waste of money for anyone that paid for it. Computers are not suseptable to the types of signal loss that consumer electronics are known for (that in itself is a theory).

So it seems as though HIS is trying to play in Monster Cable's court and sell you a fix for a problem you didn't know you had.
