Whats better?

Whats better? 2gb of 667mhz(pc2-5300) ddr2 ram or 3gb of 200mhz ram(pc2-3200)?

That's a two speed jump where the automatic preference would be for 2gb of DDR2 667 memory. The average desktop for XP and Vista alike will run adequately with 2gb of memory installed. If you need additional memory then 3gb of 667 would be the move. All this depends on the system itself and the types of programs being run.
 
Another thing to look at is what make and model board would the memory go on? You first have to look at the specifications to see what speeds and type(s) on some boards of memory are supported. Most will jump on the fastest or next to fastest a board supports rather then two memory speeds lower.

i already check everything its a dell dimension 8400. the pc2-5300 is supported.
