Please rate my custom computer

Hi, I just finished building my computer and I would like to have these specs rated for crysis and overall gaming.Also any tips on how to improve the performance of my specs.

AMD Athlon 64 3.1ghz 6000+
XFX Geforce 8800 Ultra
2 Gigs of Corsair Ram DDR2
Thermaltake ruby orb cpu fan
2 Ultra case fans
250 GB SATA HD
Lite-On DVD Drive
22" Acer LCD monitor
 
Specs are almost like mine, you can see them in my signature.

Is that 6000+ a brisbane core or a winsdor?

You can O/C to 3.3 Ghz with no problem if it's a brisbane, I don't know how the windors overclock.

buying the 3.1 version of the 6000 was a bad deal

you can get the 3.0 version with 2mb l2 cache for 3 dollors more

the one you have only has 1 mb l2 cache and is only .1 ghz higher

but yes this is a monster
 
I really hope you got the new 65nm, 89watt 6000+. The 90nm runs way too hot with little room to overclock. My 5000+ can overclock over a lot of the old 6000+ cpu's.

How long have you had that 8800 Ultra? If you just bought it that's not good. There are many cheaper, newer, far far better graphics cards out there.

What motherboard did you use for your build?

I sadly have to agree there...I went from a X2 4400+ @ 2.3ghz to a 2.8 Celeron for a week while I waited for my Q6600 and it sucked ^-^



Also geez sure bashing the poor guy...he didn't ask for the peanut gallery he asked

Sure they are older parts but who is to say he wasn't on a tight budget? Not everyone wants to spend 1000+ on their gaming computer.
Also I would prefer the 89w version 6000+ then the 125w.

For Crysis and FarCry 2 your looking @ high or so depending on your resolution you game at. At 1024x768 I could play on High with a 2.3ghz X2 4400 and 8800GT...with my Q6600 and 8800GT I can play @ very high @ 1280 x 1024 with I think x2 AA @ 35FPS. Sadly my GPU is the bottleneck but I don't need maxed settings with 200FPS. Games still look stunning :)

(note most games only use 2 cores max so don't think the quad is doubling you)

its a good rig. the processor drags it down a lot. Seriously, a 3ghz amd is about equal to my current E4500. When the E8400 i just bought gets here haha! no comparison.
