the total with shipping came out to like 650$ was gonna be 600 even, but my first case had to be shipped back to newegg since UPS decided to smash it, so i spent a lil more on faster shipping.

Running Windows XP Pro 64-Bit also.

What I can state right off the top is Windows 64-bit XP Professional is not a good operating system. There is a lack of software drivers and patches for it.

I would not pick it as an operating system. If you want to avoid Windows Vista your only other option if you want to game is Windows XP 32-bit. You will only be able to utilize about 3.25 gigabytes of RAM as that is the barrier Microsoft placed with XP. But that is plenty of memory with Windows XP.

XP 64 really isn't very good. I got a computer with it and switched it to 32 right away. It didn't work with any of my peripherals.

He is exactly correct....do not use 64bit XP;)

Vista 64bit is actually a very good operating system. It is super stable and I have never had "all the issues" people talk about. I think in about 2 years I might have only had an issue with maybe 3 or 4 programs. Most of the time it was because I did not check to see if they were compatible with Vista, my fault. I have been running Vista 64bit since the day it was released in my laptop and desktop and I really like it. Very nice operating system I think.

yeah ive noticed sumtimes when im in a game it tends to wanna just freeze on me and cause a error, i dunno if its the system i built or if it would be the XP taking a crap.

but im picking up a Rosewill 600 Watt ATX12V v2.01 PSU from newegg for 29.99.

i dont want the stock case PSU doing something to me

From what I have heard Rosewill Power Supplies have questionable quality.

The following manufacturers make good power supplies:

Acbel Polytec, Akasa, Antec, Astec, Asus, Channelwell, Corsair, Delta, Enermax,
Enhance, Etasis, FSP, Gigabyte, Impervio, Lite-On, Masscool, OCZ, PC Power and Cooling,
Seasonic, Seventeam, Silverstone, Sparkle, Thermaltake, Toughpowers, Ultra, Wintact,
Wintec, XClio, Zalman, Zippy

well for the time being its better then what i have no, and id rather take my chances with this rosewill, read the reviews on newegg and its seems like a chance ima take.

ill prolly upgrade everything i have when i get back from iraq in May considering ill have a heap of cash sitting here.
