Just a quick question

No one can fully answer that question before even the first public Release Candidate beta version is seen. As with each new version you can always a variety of changes to start with. The information available so far simply points to the MS plans of seeing an entirely new type of main user gui for the next version as well as a new file indexing process.

loool

Anth is right, All windows 7 is atm is Vista with a new theme that doesnt even look much different.

even while installing or doing anything with Windows 7 it will say Vista is doing *...*.

ATM there is basically NO Difference between the both of them, i hope they do other things with it or you might as well buy Vista since they are near the same thing.

There is a couple of new things that it does like layouts ect.....

But ill say no- more until it is out

apologies if i wasnt aloud to say any of that...^^

Oh there will be some very distinctive differences seen once the finished version appears supposedly about this time next year unless moved back to the end of January making that the same as Vista's release date. As I said before the information seen by PC World magazine points at still having the same Vista Kernel while an entirely new main gui is being worked towards at this point.

I Hear windows 7 is being made because of Vista being a failure OS...is that true???

I don't think it is being released because of Vista. If you look back at Microsoft and their operating systems...They release an new version every couple years. It's just the normal time, that's all. I think Vista is a great operating system. I have had far less problems with it than I did with XP. Everybody has complained about drivers and this and that. I have installed a lot of software and hardware and never had any driver problems. I have a few old programs that I can not load because they are not supported by Vista...that is the only downfall I think. I have been running Vista on two computers since the day it was released.

Vista Home Premium 64bit on desktop

That would be true as far as being onschedule for the next 2-3yr. version to come out. The initial reaction to Vista is based most on the large hardware gap seen between the 2001 release of XP until 1/31/2007 six full years!

An average system then saw what? A Pentium II or AMD K5, Slot A(Thunderbirds oced like crazy!) compared to 4, 8, 16gb capable boards seen now. XP runs on an old boat achor with 128mb considered minimum by MS while Vista obviously being updated seeing more "extras" as well as improvements was a little too much for some older systems still in use.
