The virus of eternal zip files! How to stop?

Hello everyone,

I went on my computer one day to find that my internet and my computer in general was running unusually slow (for 3gb of ram and quad-core processor anyways) and I thought it might be a virus. It turned out to be a trojan (which I got rid of) that left behind more than 26,000 zip files with random names (like "123 DVD" and "Terminator Star Wars"). I tried going to the folder which my viruscan said they were in but they were not there. does anyone have any idea what this is and how to get rid of it.:(

ok, here is the malwarebytes log. it didnt find the 26000 zips but mcafee scan was finiding them but it was going for 3 days and still no end so i just cancelled it (after it glitched).

In addition to the above, what is the path to the folder that McAfee indicates is infected?

Please set Windows to show hidden files and see if the folder appears. If it does, delete everything in it:
  • From any folder, select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
  • Select the View Tab.
  • Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
  • Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
  • Click Yes to confirm.
  • Click OK.

If not,
Please do a scan with Kaspersky Online Scanner

Note: If you are using Windows Vista, open your browser by right-clicking on its icon and select 'Run as administrator' to perform this scan.

Click on the Accept button and install any components it needs.
  • The program will install and then begin downloading the latest definition files.
  • After the files have been downloaded on the left side of the page in the Scan section select My Computer.
  • This will start the program and scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while, so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete, click on View scan report
  • Now, click on the Save Report as button.
  • In the drop down box labeled Files of type change the type to Text file.
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.
