The Visiontek HD 4850, or the XFX 9800 GTX+?
Really need the help to decide.
The 9800 is a high end model compared the 4850 being a mid range there. It depends on what you need the card for gaming? Most would select the 9800 right off while I would go for an MSI, eVGA, or Sapphire over XFX.
Wrong - Wrong - Wrong. Just post on things when you actually know what your talking about!!!
I would probably lean towards the 4850. If I was buying a video card now, ATI looks like the path to take for best value/performance.
The 4850 wouldn't be the actual performer to compare with the 9800 however. That would be something like the Sapphire 4870 X2 2gb model seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102768
4850 competes with the 9800GTX(+). 4870X2 competes the GTX280 (and outperforms it).The 4850 wouldn't be the actual performer to compare with the 9800 however. That would be something like the Sapphire 4870 X2 2gb model seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102768
I can readily agree on things leaning towards ATI lately. The 4850 wouldn't be the actual performer to compare with the 9800 however. That would be something like the Sapphire 4870 X2 2gb model seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102768

The GTX295, two 260 55nm (270?) GPUs in a sandwich... that's what I heard it's going to be. I heard there's supposed to be flames and smoke coming out of the back vents...and apparently a double PCB card like the 9800 GX2... that should be extreme.
I'm confused... was the 9800 GTX+ just compared to the 4870 X2??? A 9800 GTX+ isn't even as good as a 4870. Have you ever looked at a benchmark or anything, or just getting your knowledge from newegg reviews?
