If i could get a reply before i buy it (2hours), it would be appreciated
~Thanks

Yes it'll run, it won't run amazingly but the dedicated VRAM will help a lot. A friend of mine at work plays wow on integrated video on his dell laptop around 20 fps, still playable.

So dedicated VRAM and a decent dedicated card will be ok.

Alright thanks alot Bullzi i bargained him down to $500AUD, $325USD so i think thats a good price =)

Anyways what FPS rate do u think it would achieve (not in cities)? obviously in cities it will lag a fair bit.

Im a student hence broke Gooberman :(

Also can u replace GFX cards in laptops? i heard u cant but just wondering.

you should just get like a 8800 or something would work much better

It's a laptop man..

Sometimes you can replace graphics, sometimes you can't. More often than not, it's a no go. The slot might be the same but no two laptop's cooling is, that's the problem.

Dedicated NVIDIA GeForce Go 7200 graphics (32MB dedicated memory, 128MB shared) So 32MB is dedicated and 128MB is shared any idea what FPS rate id get now Bullzi sorry to harrass you but im going to pick it up soon :P
and whats the difference between dedicated and shared?

NP man, glad I can help.

I imagine you'll see anywhere from 15-30 FPS, I don't play the game however, so it's kinda a crap shoot. Dedicated VRAM is where the video processor has specific memory chips for graphics only, they won't be used as system memory (RAM) the shared is where the system starts using the RAM for video memory (low performance) having a little dedicated video memory will help though.

Alright cool 20-30FPS is playable so ill pick it up thanks for your help
i had a old desktop with 512MB Ram 2.4Ghz Processor and 32MB GFX Card and it ran WOW at 15FPS so hopefully with the extra ram + shared memory on the gfx card itll go to around 25FPS

Final Question :P
a bit off topic but oh well lol,
Is there anything i should look for when buying a 2nd hand computer? Obviously ill get him to put it up and running should i just check the HDD/GFX Card/Ram/Processor and make sure its what he said it is? Or is there anything else i should check

Thanks Heaps

Ya, it should be between 20-30 easily.

Overall, check the condition. See how worn the keyboard is, scratches etc. that tells a lot about how much the laptop has been used and whether it has been taken care of or not. Check for any odd noises as well, clogged air ports, battery life etc.

FYI: I'm headed to bed for the night, if you reply again I'll get it in the morning..

I ended up buying a Toshibia Satelite P300
for $800AUD which is $525USD Second Hand

it has:
2.26Ghz Processor
4GB DDR2
1599MB Graphics Card (512MB Dedicated Graphics)
320GB HDD

Will This max out WOW?

I think that'll come damn close to almost high settings.. with the extra VRAM and regular RAM, WoW should run pretty good. ;)
