Ok, so i bought a computer from cyberpower, about a month ago, and i like the perfromance, but i am always searching for ways to OC, and i am not very farmillier with OCing, so i would like to find an easy route.
I watched a video on youtube about 5 months ago before i got my pc and it was about this overclocking program that amd released called Amd overdrive and it has all these applications and diiffrent modes etc.(I would go in novice mode :D)
So would it work on my computer, even though i bought it through a company?
Has anyone tried this program before?
If so did you like it?
thx for our time :)

I think you mean the Fusion for Gaming utility.

I tried it briefly but to be honest I'm not much of a gamer so I'm not overly qualified to talk about its efficacy. As far as I can tell, it matches you perfectly though (not a hardcore tweaker who could probably match its performance/possibly exceed it if you spent a good portion of your days doing it), but a good way to speed up your machine regardless for certain applications.

It should work provided you have an AMD processor. Certainly wont if you do not.

Never trust a program to overclock your PC do it manually. If you dunno how then I suggest you get to reading.

Know that without proper cooling and the fact your are going BEYOND the manufactures specs you lose warranty on the chip/PC and Intel/AMD wont be liable (nor will I or this forum) for any damage caused.

From the looks of Fusion is more of a "disable background" processes application...I don't think its a actual overclock. Great idea but never disable your AV and Firewall EVER.

People are too paranoid, iv always had my firewall off, and iv got no anti virus. Its been along time since iv had to reformat because of a "virus" or something like it. If you know how to use a computer properly you wont have problems. Not to mention if your AV has on scan access, its slows things down hardcore.

That won't prevent it 100% there are many ways to drop a program on your PC...especially if you have no protection.

Well I never had cancer but until I have the tools to test for it I can't be 100% now can I?

Better safe then sorry.

You know you can delete the text in a quote to show what you want.

Every pop up to a site has a chance to give viruses...even 100% clean sites sign up to the wrong ad service a bam you got maleware.
Lets not forget the little script kiddies playing with their local network. Can gain easy access to peoples PCs with no protection.

Drop a nice trojan for your next paypal or credit card purchase.
Yes I know you can, im at work I cant see in the reply box very well, its weird. I have to hit advanced I guess.
Again, if you know how to properly use a computer and don't go to the wrong sites.....im just saying if your a stronger user you could do fine. I feel confident enough in myself to use a computer and not get a virus or anything. It has happened but that was over a year ago and it was a stupid mistake on my part, in fact I kinda knew what it was, in yet I still clicked it. If its to good to be true....it probably is. I do run a scan on occasion, but its free software

Its better if you do it through the bios. But if your board is bios locked, no overclocking features. Software is the only way you have to go. I,ve never used Overdirve, I have it installed but only use it for system info. Heard it works ok for a software program. Its really set up to work best if you have a AMD chipset too, plus has more options if you have the SB750 southbridge.

Fusion is not AMD Overdrive.

^ oo ok well it wont work with mine, ive got a 560, o well, thx for the reponces guys :)
