Is the Athlon 6000+ Windsor (3.0 gigahertz) 2 x 1 megabyte L2 Cache 89 Watt processor going to be discontinued soon?
The model number is: ADA6000CZBOX

I dont think you will see to many 90nm. in the future. The F3 stepping Windsors X2 5600/6000/6400 were good processors. Ran alittle hotter than the 65nm. brisbane. But the F3 Windors were a little faster clock for clock than the brisbane. Both had about the same overclocking, about 3.3 to 3.4 without cranking up the voltage..
how's the 5000+ for overclocking? Using the stock cooler of course.![]()
my black edition could go stable to 3.4 with a fair amount of vcore, but 3.2ghz at 1.41v stable
non-BE i'd be thinking like 2.8 on a stock cooler
I've been wondering, what IS the difference between the BE and the normal version? Anyway though, that's not a whole lot faster... I was hoping you were gonna say something like 3.0GHz, I might try it just for the heck of it though...
BE has unlocked multiplier.. or are you referring to some other difference between the two?

No, that's the answer I was looking for, thanks!![]()

did windsors have locked multiplier's then? Cause my Brisbane doesn't.
Windsor FX 62 was unlocked. The FX used to be the only unlocked one untill they starting calling them BE. Don't know if they will release another one by FX. Don't really see the point if they have a BE model.
