the video card will not make a difference with the ram, they have nothing to do with each other.
you're correct, however, I never said the "type" of ram[-0MEGA-];1140614 said:The type of RAM makes no difference when it comes to picking out a video card, that would work fine with DDR, DDR2, DDR3, etc.

Well I used to have a 512MB Nvidia turbocache card, and providing you had at least 1GB of "SYSTEM RAM" it would increase the graphics memory upto 1GB when needed. so it has an effect wouldn't you agree?(probably not[-0MEGA-];1140634 said:I never quoted you...
But now that I re-read your post, care to explain how it would effect the memory?
That's because Turbocache uses your system memory, so yes if you have onboard video or a video card that uses both dedicated and shared memory then you will see a slight difference. However not with a completely dedicated video card.Well I used to have a 512MB Nvidia turbocache card, and providing you had at least 1GB of "SYSTEM RAM" it would increase the graphics memory upto 1GB when needed. so it has an effect wouldn't you agree?(probably not)
