Hi, i am going to buy a gaming mouse, and i would just like to know if any of you guys had any suggestions on the brand,DPI?,wired/wireless,etc.

i have a microsoft laptop wireless mouse right now i bought it for 20$ about a year ago, but i have noticed when i use it on my desktop, it skips around a lot. So as a christmas present i would like to get a new one.

I have had logitech, and microsoft mouses and have been good to me so far, are there any better brands?

What is a dpi? i am assuming the more the better?

And is a laser mouse better than an opitcal?

O and my price limit is 50$ or less...

Thx for you time.

Well ive been having a look at razor for you because i know they always have something good and ive found that the Razor Krait is $39.99 with 1600 DPI which is good yes here is the link for that mouse http://www.razerzone.com/p-2-razer-krait-gaming-mouse.aspx

Ive also had a look at the Rzor Diamondback 3G which has 1800 DPI for 49.99 US all the reviews are great aswell that i have seen here is the link for this mouse http://www.razerzone.com/p-62-razer-diamondback-3g-gaming-mouse.aspx

That really wasn't necessary, because he's not only looking for suggestions, but also personal reviews and preferences.

I have the Logitech MX518, and it is by far the best mouse I've used, I've had it for a bit over two years, I've moved it around a lot, and it still looks and works brand new, I'm going to consider getting this mouse again, if I ever need to.

I don't know where you are located, so here is the information page.

Thx ya that looks like a nice mouse, the main thing i am lookign for is comfort, becuase my mocrsoft one is nice, but my hand is too big for it, so im looking for a little bigger mouse and once that my fingers can be comfortable with.
I am located in CentralValley, Cali.So the shipping should be fine.

I use a razer and a logitech revolution bluetooth mouse/keypad..

both are great..my hands are huge and logitech mouse is so big and bulky..I love it!

Definately going to have to say the new G5 gaming mouse, i absolutely love the new textured surface(i still have the old bronze&silver colored G5), absolutely awesome mouse would recommend to anyone for the price.Next mouse i buy will be a G9, but right now i dont have the money to upgrade to anything lol.

Yes...this is the best mouse ever. I have had mine for about 2 weeks and it blows my Logitech G7 away! So smooth and responsive...great product:D

I have a G9 and a Mx518 I keep as a backup mouse.Cant go wrong with either and logitech has an excellant warranty.

I love the options and comfort of the G9 mouse. The first one I had only lasted 6 weeks before it started to have problems, but Logitech stood behind thier product and I got a new one(The g9's are expensive btw so this is a really good thing) but it is an excellant performing mouse especially if you "claw grip" it.Its been doing great since then but I would definitely reccomend one of the logitech products for this alone. The Mx 518,G5 or G9 are all considered good gaming mice

Razors are pretty good to I think but i didnt like the feel of them seemed flimsy to me

Whatever you get be sure to try out diffreent mice to be sure which one is most comfortable to you which is really the most important thing when it boils down to it because the greatest mouse in the world isnt going work well for you if it doesnt have a natural feel to it

here is a link to a post I made on it:

hey, thx for your responces i just ordered the logitech mx518, because of all the great reviews i have heard about it, so this should be an a lot better than my current mouse.

Darn, I was going to chime in, too. But yea, I've had an MX518 for a couple of years now, and there's not a thing I would change on it. I've tried a few other ones, including optical and laser, but this one just felt right from day 1. Never again will you feel hindered by your mouse. ;) Great choice!
