How do you know what wattage PSU to buy?

How do you know what wattage PSU to buy do you add up all the components wattage then get a PSU roughly the same wattage as the total wattage of all the components if that makes sense?

A 750W model would be enough. Get something from Antec, Corsair, or PC Power & Cooling. I'd recommend this.

I've had mine for over a year. I was gonna sell it and use my 610W PC&C model, but I can't let it go.

Had mine for about a year and sold it a couple of weeks ago. Had a computer built for a guy and at the last minute decided he wanted a better card. He didnt want to spend more than 100 on a card, got him a 9600GT. I already had a 9800GTX+, then he changed his mind and wanted it. The P/S I got him was to close, so I sold him mine for 85 bucks. Oh Well.
