Compatability question

I am new to trying to understand compatablilty so before I buy this device I wanted to get a second oppinion.
Does anyone know if the XFX PVT96OSDFH GeForce 9600 video card is compatible with the Mainboard : Intel DG965OT

hmmm, i can see why you asked. by looking at the specs of the 2 i would say no at first, but the intel site was vague on detail. what is the set up you are looking to run and for how much, i may be able to get you something a bit better for the same price.

ok, but my question is for you strangle, isnt there a difference between a PCI express x16 and a PCI express 2.0 x16? thats what got me a bit confused

PCIe 2.0 has double the transfer rate, not for sure but I think the 2.0 slot can supply alittle more watts.
