8800GTX for £106 or 9800GT for £88

I know i've done a lot of graphics card related questions recently, comparing two different cards and their prices and junk. I don't know why i'm doing it, I think i'm getting really obsessed with getting the best price I can for a good performing card.

Anywho, i came here to ask 8800GTX 768mb or 9800GT 512mb? There's a £15 difference, which one shall I go for? Here's some more info on the cards ^_^


8800GTX has:
768mb DDR3
575mhz core
1350mhz shader
1800mhz memory
86.4 mem bandwidth
128 stream processors


9800GT has:
512mb DDR3
600mhz core
1500mhz shader
1800mhz memory
57.6 mem bandwidth
112 stream processors

Also, the memory clock is the same :P It's the shader clock that is lower on the 8800GTX, can the shader be changed?
 
lol those gtx's can give most g92's a royal asskicking in most things, and they overclock like crazy if you give them a voltmod too
 
I'd get the 9800GT for the sake of newer technology. In fact, the 8800GT compared to the GTX and was nearly as good, the 9800GT should do even better. I don't think it's worth the extra $20

Now why exactly did you just copy my signature to your post...??? Also, again i would say 8800gtx because of the more shaders, unless you have a 9800gtx/9800gtx+ available for around the same price, then get that(awesome card for the $).

Well there is one for £130. Do you think it's worth the extra £25 over the 8800GTX?
