Hey friends, it usually happens that when I open my broadband connection to download something the speed becomes very slow about 4-7KB/Sec.

Please help me to resolve through this problem.

Thank You,
Rishabh

Talk to your ISP, they may be limiting people because of traffic. Im not sure about how it works in your part of the world, but iv never had issues with my broadband. What speed do you normally get?

Yea, Usally it's the reverse. Due to everyone connecting during the day and at night barely anyone on. Yea like teamhex said, talk to you ISP.

You could try this site for you download speed in the states, But I'm not sure over there.

Than post results, please.

Again, not sure about your part of the world, but where I am some providers have an off peak and on peak plan. Where you get the majority of your download limit over the night time to encourage less people from downloading during the day. So normaly at night everybody hits the torrents (or whatever/wherever your trying to download) and so you can experience some speed loss because of this. But not all providers do this.

you could have a virus .. some viruses are programed only to run at night (spam viruses) that way you dont notice it and remove it. I saw one that only operated between 2am and 5am

Depends on where you are downloading from, eg accessing American sites. Their peak times are your off-peak times. It's the same in the UK, it's slower in the evening as its lunchtime is the US.

Or it could be something completely different, and I'm talking rubbish! Hope that helps, Doug.

When cali wakes up it all goes down from there :( they all have to check there emails ect.. !! :P at school in morning i can download at like 400 KB/s and at lunch it goes down to 54 KB/s :(
