You should also actually have some writing experience. Why not try your school newspaper first. Have a computer article or something like that. They are going to want some sort of qualifications for you to be writing for them.
Mep, heres that statment:
As I get better, I'll go to better sites.

If someone invites you to come to their site, it's rude to claim that their domain is inferior to others, and that you're only there to hone your skills and get better. In other words, maybe you should thank Dirty for the invitation and do your best to provide some good content to his site. Does that make sense?
I actually want to comment on this. I worked with this person that wanted me to train them on everything I knew. I was totally OK with it and was going to show them all the server side stuff I know, because a lot of what I learned was from other people so I am just passing it along. However, their attitude about it was so rude. They actually said that they wanted to me to teach them everything I knew so they get more experience they can leave and get a better job. Well, how in the hell is that going to motivate me to teach you everything I know if you are just going to leave for a different job in a year or two? Then I got to train someone else all over again!
My point is, don't be a jerk face, just play it cool and be cool. Most of the time the way you get ahead in life is just not being a jerk, because no one wants to work with a jerk.
I think i might start with that website, and then go with better sites as I get better.
Don't forget about Techzine, which is the official CF tech blog site. We've already had a view members post hardware reviews.
if I were interested in submitting some articles who would I speak with?
Yeah but are you published? Do you have your own website?
I have been interviewed in CIO magazine and have had numerous articles published on line for my tech writings. I am saying you need to get your name out there some how because there are tons of people that want to do that sort of thing, and there will always be that guy with more experience.
While, my accomplishments are minor they are still accomplishments and they are something that some people haven't even done yet. See where I am getting at?

fire just shot out my eyeballs.
but you are right, it is a very crappy site as far as tech blogs go. i put my time towards other sites and post on that one when i have nothing else to do. but if you wanted to establish yourself and have something to reference when the time comes to go for a *real* tech blog, i will give you access to posting news
you also might want to speak with calibretto. he runs tech olive, which IMO is a great blog for computer related stuff. he has a two man staff and might be interested in keeping it at that, but it doesn't hurt anything to ask.
i will give you access to a blog of your own if you are interested. http://wordpress.com offers the same thing i would give you, except there will not be near as many limitations if i do it for you. once you have your own place to write for, you're on your own because i have quickly discovered that i have precisely ZERO aptitude for writing articles anyone other than myself wants to read. all in all I am the homeless man offering you real estate advice, but if you are interested in the things i can do for you, let me know
