I've just changed my ISP.....

......from BT to Sky. I deleted everything associated with BT in Add/Remove programmes, but I can't get rid of 'Wireless BT Connection Manager' in the bottom right of the screen task bar.

Everytime I start my computer up, this BT connection manager is taking it upon itself to find my wireless network, and I keep having to go into properties to revert the settings back to allow windows to find my connection instead of this BT thing.

How can I permanently rid it from my laptop? Thanks.

Use msconfig utility and uncheck it from starting up at bootup. Type "msconfig" in the run box then click ok and click on startup tab uncheck the software. click ok. Reboot computer and it should not load.

Seems to have done the trick, cheers. It's also cut the boot-up time in half! I had a feeling that was the reason for a slow start up.

Another un-related question to save starting a new thread.............

I use Firerox instead of IE. But when I click a link which opens up a new window, it opens it in IE explorer. Is there a way to change that so I'm only ever using Firefox?

Should be a setting in firefox to make it the default browser. I use IE so I have no idea where you would look. Also some sites will only open in IE, no other browser.

I have that too, like for msn when you have an e-mail it pops up in IE. UGH, I dislike IE.
