Is this a good graphics card?

Hi...new to graphics cards and really want to know if this is a good one because it's really cheap:

Was thinking about buying it. Your thoughts?
Also was wondering if I could do crossfire with it or whatever, run 2 at once ?

TBH, modern day integrated graphics cards are probably more powerful than that. Also, it does not have crossfire capabilities.

What are you planning to do with this graphics card anyways?

I thought for the price and it being 512mb it would be great for the price but since I can't do crossfire there'd be no point. :(

Are there any good graphics cards in my price range that I can do crossfire or dual channel with?

I would like to game and do graphics and watch media...I guess an up-to-date graphics card would be good or one at least that can support latest version of DirectX, support games, and be in my budget of $30-$40 per...512mb each would be ideal if fast and good enough.

You would be better off getting a single 80 dollar graphics card.

But I would like one that would fit my budget and one that I can dual/crossfire with...making everything double'd basically...please assist. I do not want one, I want two.

So there must be a good $40 one that is equally as good as a $80 one. :)

Alright, first I want to get a couple things straight.

Unless you have a huge monitor or plan to play at high resolutions, the 1 gig of video ram would be a waste. Two, crossfire is not necessarily supported by all games, so even though you think it will be more powerful, it could actually decrease. Three ATI isn't the only brand that supports something like crossfire, Nivida has something similar called SLI. Four, getting a good single graphics card now and possibly later going for a second would be much better than getting two cheap ones right away.

If after all this your still determined to get two 30-40 dollar cards then I will do some searching. I just want you to know all the facts before you make your decision. :)

What kind of motherboard you have. In the OP you gave a link to an AGP card. If you have only an AGP slot, you cannot use Crossfire.

Yes, I am looking to CrossFire or SLI. I do not care about the brand, I care about the power! :D

And if they can run $30-$40 each, and do the above function, it would work out great for me! :D

I was just thinking of 1GB to total the video cards RAM to empower my future gaming. :D
This is for my own knowledge so I can start gathering parts to build my own PC. :D

Your still not getting it. You CANNOT Crossfire or SLI with AGP. Got it?

so are you building a computer from scratch or putting one in your computer you have now. if your looking for a good 3d cad for gaming for under $50 you wont find one, even if you could use dual setup, you would probably be dissapointed with the results. but if you could go as a far as $80-100 , you could get a 9500gt mabye a 9600gt

that would be a good choice has some good reviews, those cheapo video cards are mainly for photoshop and movies and such
save up your money , don't waste it

I will start a new thread, and have this one locked, since the main purpose of this thread was simply to find out whether or not my original post's linked hard drive was suitable for gaming, media, and multi-tasking vector, but I guess it is not, and it cannot crossfire.

Thank you everyone for your help, be sure to help me in my next thread.
Please close mods. :)

I don't get it. Why are you so determined to crossfire 2 crappy video cards? When you could be getting a nice video card that will perform a TON better, for just a few dollars more.

im warning you its probably a waste of money i agree with the people that told you just buy one good one then save for the future

Let's make this clear.

You can SLi, Tri-SLi, Quad-SLi, same thing with Crossfire, but you won't see the same gain as with buying a WHOLE NEW GFX.

Do it right and go for a single HD3870/HD4850.
