Building a Custom PC without Windows?

Is it possible? Does a custom PC have to have Windows or Linux installed, or can I install Mac?...

I just want to know because I want all the hardware to be recognized. How do I know Mac will have the drivers etc for the components I buy? And does Mac require any specific configuration or hardware?
 
No, you can't legally install Mac on non-Apple hardware.

You could try BSD too, of course that's gonna act basically just like Linux...
 
all the hard ware has to be apple compliant. if hte hardware will work wiht apple then i see no reason why you cant install MAC OS
