Hia all =]

Just wondering on PSU calculator thingy i got a rating of 320Watts but i wanted a 400Watts do you think it would be safe to use a 400watt? or go for a 350?

yeah you could use a 1000 wat psu on your system its the max power, for example say you had 4 graphics cards in sli and a 500 watt psu, if you do somthing really graphic intensive like a videogame or somthing your computer will shut down because its asking to much from your psu it cant give that much

but if you got a 1000 wat psu and your using like 200 wats of it then your putting zero strain on it and it will stay cooler, its not like if you put 400 wats into 300 wat subs

Wouldnt that be known as overkill?

I just got an email this morning from Newegg on some deals for PSU's. I would buy 450 or above. You never know what you might upgrade to later.

Here is a great 500watt PSU for $39.99 with promo code

That PSU is a POS especially when you can get this for $70 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005&T

and:

Dont just go by what some power calculator said. What setup is this going on?

Agreed.

Post what system you intend to run, as wattage means very little, its more about the amperage on the 12V rail plus the PSU's ability to deliver that to the components that need it.

Thats a good deal that bigfella posted, i would go w/ consair over anyother psu company.

On the cpu and video card.
I would go for the 9500GT, better than an 8600GT, requires less power, decent card, only 5 more, i am not sure how the pounds thing works, but its 45 pounds? so only 5 more pounds...

And the cpu, Go for the 7750 BE, it is faster, and it provides better overclocking, more cache...
