Hi guys, sorry if this is in the wrong area, i wasnt sure where else it would go. Please tell me if there is somewhere else it should be and ill move it.

I just upgraded my computer (Specs are below), and im an avid gamer. One of the games I play is World of Warcraft. I want it on the new computer, but i cant find my original game disks. A friend of mine told me how she went through the same thing, and transferred the game using an Ethernet Cable. How would I do this? Thanks.

If you have a router it's rather simple. You just plug both pcs into it and go from there. If you don't you can go to walmart, Best Buy, etc. and buy a crossover Ethernet cable which you plug each end into each pc. Then you start transferring files.

So i cant just use any old ethernet cable like the one i use to connect my Xbox 360 to the modem?

No, you have to use a Crossover Cable. The difference is that basically the wires in a crossover cable are "backwards" at one end. if you look at both ends of a standard Ethernet cable you will see that the wires are in the same order at both ends.
