Hi

So im probably going to upgrade my video card this week (unless this works well ;))

Im going to push my Asus EN9600GT 1024MB to it's limits.

As stock - Core: 720Mhz
Memory: 900Mhz
Shader: 1350Mhz
Im going to shove the core to 780Mhz, crank the Memory to 1100Mhz and throttle the shader to 1800 - 2000 Mhz :P

please post suggestions!

LOL omg i dont want to dicuss what happened.. ok here goes:

I heaved it up beyond those speeds and and my screen went diff colours, copped a BoD and the little plastic clip on the PCIe slot melted hard. Had to snap the little clip off and i placed my poor card in my freezer for a few minutes to cool it down and start again. Poor thing.

Then it kept crashing.. relised the shader clock was jammed on about 2,000 Mhz so that was why. After i turned it down it actually started working again. Got crysis going pretty well.

Anyway now im off to buy a 9800GTX+ 1GB and take care of it lol...

Hmmm... is it even possible to push it that high without messing with your volts?

The max I've got it and was stable is listed on my sig.

I doubt you've melted your PCI-e slot, too. If you haven't volt moderd the card then there's no way you can generate that much extra heat, even with having the fan on something stupid like 2%. Pictures?
