Best laptop for 750$-1000$ ? (specs inside)

Hi, first of all I live in Canada so I can't order off newegg and stuff.


I'm looking for:

Stuff I absolutely want: (or better)
- 16"+
- 2.0GHz+ Core 2 Duo (800MHz FSB, 2MB Cache)
- 4GB RAM
- 250GB+ Hard drive
- Numpad
- eSATA plug
- HDMI plug
- 3+ USB plugs
- SD card reader

Stuff that would be cool:
- 512MB Dedicated graphics
- Blu-ray

Oh.... I didn't even know newegg had a .ca website! Thanks. :)

edit: Damn.... to bad the price/performance ratio on newegg.ca for the 750-1000$ laptops is pretty nasty. :(


Yeah I looked on tigerdirect, not a fan of their laptop pricing. Oddly enough, I found better deals at futureshop and staples.

go to the hp website, they have computers right in your range, plus a lot of there 1000$ models come with the nvidia 9600m GT 512 MB card. Or for 100$ more get a gateway fx series and they come with the nvidia 9800m GT 512 MB card.

I went but I don't see them. I only see like 1.4k ones.

Right now I'm eye balling these 2, of course they are not in the same range but still.

1300$ tax in

I would choose the first one. From what I hear that GFX is similiar in performance to the 9700 nvidia cards. Not too shabby.
